Xiaopeng Liu

Xiaopeng comes form Liaoning Province, China. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry from Nankai University in 2021, where he studied organic synthesis methodology and protein conformational changes. He joined Kim lab as a chemistry PhD student in chemical biology area August 2024, with the experience of natural products biosynthesis. Inside Kim lab, he works on engineering polyketide syntheases and polyketide syntheases structural biology to investigate their catalytic mechanisms. Outside the lab he enjoys reading history and analyzing politics.
